comScore has announced the result of its April survey of mobile phone usage in the United States. According to the result, Apple passes Research in Motion in U.S. smartphone usage share. Apple is at the 2nd place among top smartphone platforms with 26.0% of the market, Android is at the first place with 36.4% of the market, Research in Motion’s BlackBerry operating system is at the 3rd place with 25.7% of the market, Microsoft is at the 4th place with 6.7% of the market, and Palm is at the 5th place with 2.6% of the market. Well, Apple is at the 4th place among top mobile phone manufacturers with 8.3% of the market, Samsung is at the 1st place with 24.5% of the market, LG is at the 2nd place with 20.9% of the market, Motorola is at the 3rd place with 15.6% of the market, and Research in Motion is at the 4th place with 8.2% of the market.
