The Google’s Nexus 7 does not provide a rear camera for taking pictures but it does have a front facing camera of 1.2-megapixel for video calling. However to overcome this problem today Google has announced a new camera Launcher app for the Nexus 7 users. Now you can take photographs by using the tablet’s front camera and if you want this app for your device then you can download this app from the Google Play store.
For the installation of this app in your tab, you do not have to root the device and it does not need any special permission. Download the app from the Google Play and simply install the app in your tablet. In addition, with installation it will give you different face effects added in Ice Cream Sandwich along with 720 p of video recording. But I do not think that many people take pictures with their tablets anyways for those who want to take the pictures you can use the front camera.
The Nexus 7 Camera Launcher is released with the Nexus 7 Android 4.2 update. The application also allows camera gestures that are available on the Nexus 4 with Android 4.2. After installation of the Camera Launcher app then you will find a button on the right side, which brings a menu into the center of the screen. After that, a circle overlay will appear and will give three options namely Saturation, Settings and effects.
After using this, you will figure out a pattern that you do not have to touch the option for selecting the particular type instead that slide your fingers to come more menus and raise your finger to choose the option. This kind of pattern they copied from the Android 4.2 Stock Camera application and you can set the menu anywhere on the display. To zoom in or out you need to place your two fingers on the screen and pinch the screen in or out. It is pretty simple once you will use this app, it will automatically come in handy.
The Camera Launcher app also provides a Video capture option, Panorama and they are implementing the Photosphere feature soon. To launch the photograph what you have taken then slide your finger towards the right, which is automatically will show all your photos in chronological order. It is the default setting and you can change it.
