Custom Tab Width Extension to Change Firefox’s Tab Width
There’s no way to change the width of opened tabs in Firefox. But Custom Tab Width is a Firefox extension that lets you change the minimum and maximum tab width. By default, values are a minimum width of 100 pixels and a maximum width of 250 pixels. This cool extension adds a small configuration window to Firefox that allows you to change the maximum and minimum tab width.
After installing Custom Tab Width, go to Add-on Manager. You’ll find Options under the Custom Tab Width section. Click on it to assign minimum and maximum width to tabs. Hit the OK button after entering the values. Immediately the width of the tabs will change as per defined values. The minimum value will refer to the smallest width for an opened tab, whereas the maximum value refers to maximum width a tab can have.
There are many parameters packed in the configuration. When you enter browser.tabs.tab in the filter form, it will display the following parameters:
browser.tabs.tabMaxWidth display the maximum width of each individual tab in the browser. By default, the value is 250 pixels. browser.tabs.tabMinWidth display the minimum width of each tab in the Firefox web browser. Here the value is 100 pixels, by default.
