As we know FaceTime works only on WiFi. It does not work over 3G network. But you can enable FaceTime over 3G feature on your iPhone running iOS 5. Recently we have posted a tutorial to enable FaceTime call over 3G on iPhone running iOS 5. If you are not able to enable FaceTime over 3G feature on your iPhone using the tutorial then don’t worry. Now you can enable this feature on your iPhone running iOS 5 by using a jailbreak tweak available in Cydia. The name of this tweak 3Gvenice. This tweak is developed by Maloon. After installing this tweak on your iPhone running iOS 5, it will add a command-line utility named as 3gvenice which will allow you to make FaceTime call over 3G network. You don’t need WiFi to make FaceTime video calling on your iPhone.

3Gvenice will automatically enable FaceTime over 3G feature on your iPhone running iOS 5. If you want to disable this feature then uninstall 3Gvenice from your iPhone. This tweak is compatible with iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2 and iPad 1. 3Gvenice is available in Cydia under ModMyi repository for free of cost. If you want to enable FaceTime over 3G feature on your iPhone running iOS 5 then install 3Gvenice on your iOS device. In order to install this tweak on your jailbroken iPhone, simply launch Cydia on your iPhone and search for “3Gvenice” then tap on “Install” button to download and install this tweak on your iOS device. This tweak will be installed automatically. You should note that this tweak will not add any new icon to the home screen of iPhone. It requires iOS 5 or higher.

As 3Gvenice is a Cydia tweak, so you will need to have jailbroken iOS device to install it. If you don’t have jailbroken iPhone then you can jailbreak iPhone, iPod touch, iPad on iOS 5 using Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 or you can use Redsn0w 0.9.9b8 to jailbreak iPhone, iPod touch, iPad on iOS 5.0.1.
