How Facebook Killed Google in 2011?
Let’s face it, at first the statement seems to be absolutely absurd. Only when you read it twice, will you understand what is said. How can Facebook, a social networking site kill a giant search engine like Google? Or better though, can Google be ever “killed.” Well, the statements like these only started taking birth because a social networking site from Google called Orkut is actually “murdered” by another giant Facebook. Well we can certainly say, despite attracting a lot of accusations related to security and a privacy concern, Facebook has something about it. Otherwise, how can a people not get bored with a social networking, despite its existence from quite a long time? And think of this, Google has survived all odds and is certainly elder to Facebook. Yet, Facebook has made all possible efforts or rather strategies to actually kill Google in 2011!

Now, the point arises, how? How is this done? How is this possible actually? Factually speaking, this is not true to the core and despite having eliminated Orkut from the minds of people; Facebook has still not taken over a leap to kill Google. Actually, it is difficult! But, we can say it is quite commendable on the part of Facebook to at least attempt it! Now let us see how.

An attempt on the part of Facebook to constantly upgrade or edit something in its appearance is quite irritating for its users, but again, it keeps people talking about it and so it remains at the mind of people.
Secondly, addition of a feature called “Washington Post Reader” makes it possible for the users to do “something productive” even on a social networking site like this! It allows users to get a lot of information and thus makes it possible for them to read a lot of news even without going to the Google! So, now you can see that it is actually trying to kill Google in this sense.
Apart from this, people who do not even know how to use the rest of Internet know how Facebook works, at least! Or rather, it can also be said that Facebook is allowing people to “learn Internet.” Google is not! Initially, if Internet had a synonym, it was Google. Sorry, but this has been replaced now, thanks to Facebook!
All these considerations and certain other facts prove that Facebook has not exactly killed, but has made all kinds of efforts to kill Google in 2012, Orkut’s absence from the Internet and lack of popularity of Google+ are its biggest examples!
