Is there anyone who won’t like to get hired by this online giant, Google? Doing a job at Google will get you ample knowledge, satisfaction, credibility, and money. Unlike other companies it’s very hard to pass through their interviews, may it be written, personal or telephonic interview, but once you meet their expectations, bag the job and land on the GooglePlex (the Google office), your life takes a whole new turn and hopefully you will never look back.
I have heard that the people at Google who conduct the interviews never look at the clock and hence don’t get surprised if the interview lasts for hours (many times more than 1.5 hours). You will get questions on all random stuffs and hence be prepared to answer questions like “Do elephants snore?” even if you are applying for the position of “software engineer”.
Many times they also conduct telephonic interviews that again last for hours. If you are really interested to join Google make sure that your mobile battery is fully charged all the time 😀
Life at Google
Once you get through the interview, be prepared to experience the best moments of your life. You will get the chance to work with World’s greatest developers, interact with them and share the knowledge. The GooglePlex is also creatively designed to make the atmosphere full of fun. Checkout these images that describes the life in the GooglePlex.
As a Google employee you will get paid vacations, life & medical insurance benefits, business travel accident, personal accident insurance along with a handsome package. Here is the list of complete job benefits.
How to Get a Job at Google
Google does not entertain resumes from placement agencies. They want the best and hence a team of their requirement department always shortlists all the resumes to a few and call them for the interview. Make sure that your resume is update, well written, eye catching and does not contain any spelling mistakes.
You won’t see any “Vacancy at Google” or “Google is Hiring” ads on newspapers but on their website. You can head to their website, fill up the details, attach your resume and submit your candidature for the vacant position. If your resume gets shortlisted, they will contact you via phone or email.
