HTC Desire 728 hits India for 18K with octa-core CPU

If you are in India then here is a new smartphone added to the Desire series. HTC Desire 728 is now available for folks in India. The device features 5.5-inch display, MediaTek MT6753 SoC, 2GB RAM, 13MP rear facing camera and Android 5.1 OS. The handset was made official in November last year. The gadget is getting an official welcome in India this year. Desire 728 is tagged priced for 18K.

Desire 728 is a mid-end gadget powered with octa core CPU. The smartphone has nothing out of box but if you are interested in grabbing the unit.

As per the specs-sheet, the HTC Desire 728 is running on Android v5.1 Lollipop OS with HTC’s Sense UI. It sports a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1020 x 720 pixels. It measures 157.9 x 77.8 x 7.9 mm and weighs about 153 grams.

Under the hood, the Desire 728 is powered by octa-core CPU Cortex-A53 MediaTek MT6753 SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz. Memory-wise, the handset is offered with 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and microSD card expansion up to 200GB.

In terms of imaging, the HTC Desire 728 sports 13 MP rear facing camera for video chats and self portrait. For secondary camera, there is a 5 megapixel front snapper for video chats and selfies. Connectivity-wise, the handset supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, FM radio, A-GPS/ GLONASS, microUSB v2.0, etc. it is backed up by 2800mAh battery life. The handset is powered by BoomSound stereo speakers.
