Install XBMC App on Apple TV 2G [How to Guide]
As we know XBMC Media Center is released for iPhone 4, iPad and Apple TV. XBMC comes with graphical user interface using which you can easily manage video, music, photos, and podcasts. Earlier we have posted about the step by step instructions to install XBMC on your iPhone 4, iPad. Now we are going to show you step by step instructions to install XBMC on your Apple TV 2G. You should remember you will need to have a jailbroken Apple TV 2G to install this app. Now follow the steps carefully.
INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1. First you have to jailbreak your Apple TV 2G.
STEP 2. Now you have to execute the following steps:
$ ssh root@
root@’s password: ”enter your password here, it should be “alpine” if you havent changed it”
$ echo “deb http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/atv2 ./” > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list
$ apt-get update
$ apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
STEP 3. After some time your Apple TV 2G will be restarted.
