Everyone's talking about Apple "igniting" video calling. But didn't HTC Evo came out with that already, first? And, btw, their phone is already out.

    The video chat demo: http://bit.ly/9FIO2w

ok, so the iPhone has more users than HTC Evo, so mass adoption of video calling is more likely to start with iPhone than HTC. But how is that possible with AT&T?

    First, there's the 2GB cap by AT&T

I currently use between 500 – 600mb on my 3Gs, using just Facebook, Safari, Gmail and recently Foursquares. Should I use video chat and pay $10 per gig extra?

HTC Evo runs on 4G (10x faster than 3G) which gives video calling a 1 second lag (as seen on the demo). AT&T's intermittent 3G signal sucks, if you haven't notice.

So there goes the iPhone igniting the video chat revolution, not to mention that the iPhone 4G is not compatible with a 4G network even if it's available thru AT&T.
