As we know iPhone Dev-Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 for Windows and Mac. It comes with iOS 5 jailbreak support on Windows. Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 will allow you to jailbreak iOS 5 on Windows. Recently iPhone Dev-Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.9b5 to jailbreak iOS 5 on Mac. Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 is available for both Windows and Mac. This version of Redsn0w is compatible with iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G and iPad. You can use Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 to jailbreak iOS 5 on iPhone 4 (GSM), iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G and iPad. You should note that it is a tethered jailbreak for all iOS devices expect for iPhone 3GS (old bootrom). So you have to boot your iOS device into jailbroken state everytime you restart it. How to Jailbreak iPhone, iPod touch, iPad on iOS 5 Using Redsn0w 0.9.9b6

STEP 1. Download Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 for Windows from the link given below:

STEP 2. Run Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 on your Windows.

STEP 3. Now you will be able to see the following screen, simply click on “Jailbreak” button:

STEP 4. Click on “Next” button and follow the onscreen instructions to enter your iOS device into DFU mode. It will automatically install Cydia on your iOS device. Redsn0w 0.9.9b6 will automatically fetch all the required files from Apple’s servers.

STEP 5. Now you have to boot your iOS device into tethered mode as it is a tethered jailbreak, For this return back to the main screen and click on “Extras” button.

STEP 6. Now you will be able to see the following screen, simply click on “Just boot” button:
