Every week or two we see marshmallow update headed to certain regions and certain devices. Well this week marked Lenovo device for OTA update. We are talking about Lenovo K4 Note. If you own a Lenovo K4 Note and in India then you can update the gadget to the latest Android v6.0.1.
The smartphone was announced in January with lollipop OS but now its time for its users in India to rejoice. The OTA update are rolled out and will soon be reaching to your handsets. Once the you get notified you can begin the update procedure.
The Marshmallow update brings new features like Google Now on Tap, adaptable storage, granular app permissions, and Doze mode to the gadget. If you see no notification then you can go for the Manual update.
Manual Update: Tap on Phone Settings > About phone > Update center > System updates > Check for update
Few things to keep in mind before you go for an OS update on the device.
1- Check whether enough space is available on the gadget required for the update. The new OS or software version will need few MB locations on the gadget so make sure you have enough space for the OTA upgrade.
2- Check your Wi-Fi or Internet Connection.
3- If your device holds Backup options then you can go for it in case there is failure or something goes wrong then you retrieve your valuable information and details.
Well Android v6.0.1 brings a feature called adaptable storage that can use the microSD card in the smartphone as its internal storage. With Doze feature once can save its battery backup.
Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 also received OTA update. You can also check out updates on your device if you own a handset from Verizon.
