This offer is valid for new customers only. $1.99 domains are pretty cheap considering other domain service provider’s price menu. This is their policy to make the deal in a cheaper rate and then adjust the revenue during renewal. But you can always transfer your domain to another cheap domain registrars like Godady and enjoy further domain registrations for $7 per year.

  1. I am actually attracted to this offer. However, this is ONLY 1 domain per account and that $1.99 domain will cost you $30 the next year once it expired. You can transfer it before that happens BUT there are some customers who are expressing disgust with the difficulty of transferring the domain to another cheaper (on renewal) registrar.

I really it is that easy to transfer. By the way, is it true that Yahoo Domains is not ICANN registered?
