South Korean Giant is bringing the 2016 edition of its previously launched handset. The next handset spotted on GFXBenchmark is the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016). After J series the makers are going for the A-series. The latest arrival sports 5.7’’ display, octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 16MP rear snapper and Android version 6.0.1 OS. We are not sure unto when the gadget will get official, but till then have a whip of the specs -sheet.
Talking about the specs-sheet unveiled by the benchmark , Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) features 5.7-inch Display boasting a resolution of 1080 by 1920 pixels. On the software front, the unit runs on Android v 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
On the hardware board, the smartphone is powered by octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz with Exynos 7420 SoC. In terms of memory, the Galaxy A8 (2016) is offered with 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage and microSD card support for expansion.
For photos and videos, the smartphone features 16 megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and autofocus for video chats and selfies. On the secondary front, the handset packs 5MP front snapper for video chats and selfies. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy A8 2016 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB, etc.
The 2015 edition sported a 2GB RAM but the 2016 edition packs 3GB of RAM.
Galaxy A8 (2016) supports accelerometer, barometer, etc. It is allegedly priced tagged for $205. More about the specs-sheet are yet get official.
