Samsung To Launch Galaxy S Plus i9001 Smartphone
Samsung, one of the leading consumer electronics manufacturer is going to launch another Galaxy S version of Smartphone namely, Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001 which runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It comes with TouchWiz 3.0 UI, and boasts 1.4GHz single core processor. It has a metallic black cover and looks like Samsung i9000 and i9003. Unfortunately, it’s all features is not revealed.
The phone is glossy and the body is black and it comes with other color like white. The phone measures 4 inches with Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The screen is coated with Corning Gorilla Glass for scratch resistance. The phone measures 122.4 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm in dimension and weighs little heavy around 119 g. The phone has Touch-sensitive controls and the interface used in this phone is TouchWiz 3.0 UI. For Sensors the phone has Accelerometer for landscape and portrait view, proximity to turn out the light and a compass.
The phone uses HTML browser and that supports Adobe flash. The phone is very smart as it runs on Gingerbread 2.3 and can be upgraded to 2.3.4 with automatic update or need rooting for downloading the apk file and installing in it. The phone gets power from 1.4 GHz Scorpion processor with chipset of Qualcomm MSM8255T Snapdragon and GPU of Adreno 205. The phone has connectivity feature that supports Class 12 GPRS and EDGE at a download speed of 32-48 kbps and 3G of HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps and also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and is certified with DLNA and using the phone as a modem with Wi-Fi hotspot.
The phone is spotted with 5MP camera with a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels and features like autofocus, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection. The video recording is through 720p@30fps and also supports VGA secondary camera for web chatting. Store these photos in phone internal memory that is of 8GB and 8 GB storage, 512 MB RAM, 2 GB ROM and can be expanded to 32GB with microSD card.
The multimedia of Samsung phone is awesome as it can play MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC music files and MP4/DivX/Xvid/WMV/H.264/H.263 of video files. Connect with the TV out to see the images and videos in large screen via HDMI. You can also enjoy Stereo FM radio too with connecting the ear cord in a 3.5 mm head jack.The Samsung I9001 Galaxy S Plus is also known as Samsung Galaxy S 2011 Edition has Standard, Li-Ion 1650 mAh battery that gives talktime of 12 h 50 min in 2G and 6 h 30 min in 3G. Whereas standby of 750 h in 2G and 625 h in 3G. Other features include Swype, Document editor, Image/video editor, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, Google Talk, Picasa integration and A-GPS. It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001 Smartphone will be arrive next month at the price tag of 23,990 rubles ($840) in Russia.
