Samsung Wave 3 flagship Smartphone Stepped in worldwide markets
Samsung, the multinational manufacturer has recently made an official announcement for the availability of its flagship smartphone named as the Samsung Wave 3 which runs on bada 2.0 OS. France being the biggest market of bada devices this handset too will be arriving first in France followed by Germany, Italy, Russia and other global markets at the end of the year 2011. This smartphone has a stylish and elegant appearance having an entire metal enclosure matching with anodized brushed aluminum. The device has a thickness of just 9.9mm and this new handset has been surfaced at the IFA 2011. The Wave 3 smartphone comes enabled with a 4.0 inches (~233 ppi pixel density) Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with 16M colors and resembles a display resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. It is implement with a Gorilla Glass display to ensure a scratch-free surface and is equipped with an Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, Proximity sensor for auto turn-off, TouchWiz UI and facilitates with Multi-touch input method, Handwriting recognition and Smart unlock.
It runs on bada v2.0 Operating System and is powered by 1.4 GHz processor. Besides, the device has been equipped with a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera having a resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels with autofocus and LED flash. Certain other features resembling the camera are Geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, image stabilization, touch focus, embedded with a Secondary VGA camera for video calling and is able to record videos at 720p@30fps along with video light.
In addition this handset includes 4 GB intrnal memory and supports microSD card for an expandable memory up to 32GB. It offers with the connectivity options of HSDPA, 14.4 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps (3G), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0, HS, and includes DNSe (Digital Natural Sound Engine), Loudspeaker, 3.5mm jack, Stereo FM radio with RDS, WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML Browser, GPS with A-GPS support, Samsung Mobile Navigator, Java MIDP 2.1, etc.
The rest of the other features resembling the device are Samsung ChatON, Digital compass, TV-Out, supports MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+ player, MP4/MKV/H.263/H.264/WMV/Xvid/DivX video player, Organizer, Music recognition, Document viewer, Image editor, Voice memo and Predictive text input (T9 Trace). The Wave 3 comes empowered by a Standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery that ensures a battery backup of up to 535 h (2G) / up to 517 h (3G) (Standby) and a Talktime of up to 14 h 15 min (2G) / up to 8 h 40 min (3G). The device measures for a dimension of 125.9 x 64.2 x 9.9 mm and weighs about 122 g.
