It’s an open source Google Chrome extension that lets you search the web and various sites by speaking your keywords.

For example, if you want to search for kittens, then simply click on microphone and say “kittens”. And if you want want pictures of kittens, say “Google images kittens”. Say “Wikipedia world war two”, if you want to learn more about World War II. By default, Voice Search comes pre-loaded with many popular search engines. Voice Search comes pre-loaded default services including Google, Wikipedia, YouTube, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and Wolfram|Alpha. It allows you to add your own user-defined search engines. It uses HTML5 search boxes to integrate a speech input button for all websites. The default search engines’ websites includes Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, and GitHub.

Voice Search extension is available in the Chrome Web Store and already has over 16,000 users. The extension is still in development phase but once fully developed, will provide an awesome functionality.
