Now you can secure your connection with a VPN (Virtual Private Network) when you are browsing on your iPhone on an open WiFi network. We are going to show you step by step instructions using which you can setup Hotspot Shield, free VPN for your iPhone to secure your connection when you are browsing on your iPhone on an open WiFi network. Follow the steps carefully.
STEP 1. Turn off WiFi. Then find VPN settings in
Settings -> General -> Network -> VPN -> Add VPN Configuration
Now visit Hotspot Shield’s iPhone page. Then click “Get Account ID”. This will be your account and password for entering below:
Select the IPSec tab/pane
Account: [enter info after clicking Get Account ID]
Password: [enter info after clicking Get Account ID]
Use Certificate: OFF
Group Name: hss
STEP 2. Now save the settings and hit the “HOME” button to quit and make sure to turn Wi-Fi back “ON”.
STEP 3. The VPN setting needs to be turned on to activate Hotspot Shield on your iPhone.
Settings –> VPN –> ON
That’s it. After you entered your info correctly then your status will change to “Connected” and you’ll see a VPN icon appear at the top iPhone tray. In case you can’t connect, then power down your phone, turn it back on and try once again. Now Hotspot Shield worked over both WiFi and 3G. Stay tuned with us for more updates.
