Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA lands at MWC 2016 with Marshmallow OS

Sony is trending online with its new lineup. Yes, Barcelona event MWC 2016 graced the new smartphones from Sony. The handsets go by the name Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA. The flagship gadgets sports 5’’ Triluminos Display and Marshmallow OS. Sony X adds to the high end series while XA adds to the mid-high end. Both the gadgets have their price tag on i.e. €599 and €299 respectively. After Europe debut it will make its way to US and other potential markets.  sony xperia x series
Mobile World Congress 2016 has started and has has unveiled new gadgets from several leading gadget makers. Sony X and XA were announced at the Barcelona event and is well received.

Talking about the specifications, the new Sony Xperia X sports 5-inch Triluminos Display flaunting a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution, 441ppi pixel density. On the software front, the smartphone is running on Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS.

On the hardware board, the new Xperia X is powered with hexa-core Snapdragon 650 (2x A72 + 4x A53 SoC). Memory-wise, the smartphone is offered with 3GB of RAM, 32GB inbuilt storage and microSD card support up for additional storage.

In terms of imaging, the Sony X features 23MP rear facing camera with 1/2.3″ sensor, f/2.0, Predictive Hybrid Auto Focus and 2160p video recording. For the secondary side, the gadget comes with 13MP selfie snapper, also used for video chats. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS/GLONASS, microUSB, NFC, etc. It is backed up by 2620 mAh battery life.

As per the pricing, the new Sony Xperia X is tagged for €599. It is expected to make Europe Debut soon. The metal body with beveled screen draws eyes along with Water proof feature.

Coming to Sony Xperia XA, the smartphone adds to the affordable side. It sports 5-inch Display with a resolution of 1080 x 720 pixels, 294 ppi pixel density. It is running on Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS.

Under the hood, the Xperia XA the smartphone packs MediaTek MT6755 SoC Cortex-A53 cores. On the memory board, the unit boards 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage and microSD card support for additional storage.

On the imaging front, the Sony XA sports 13MP primary camera with 1/3″ sensor and LED flash for photography and video recording. There is an 8MP front snapper for video chats and selfies. Connectivity-wise, the smartphone supports 4G LTE/3G, Bluetooth, A-GPS/GLONASS, microUSB, etc. It powered by 2300mAh battery.
